As a supporter of financial education, Michigan First partners up with local schools to establish student-run branches where students are able to gain real world experience by working part-time in the branch with support from Michigan First team members. Our student branch program now includes 10 schools and is growing!




 

How do I apply for a position with Michigan First?


Once your online application has been submitted, you will automatically receive an email acknowledgment. If the information provided on your submission matches the job qualifications, you may be contacted by Human Resources in a timely fashion, usually less than 2 weeks. You may even get a call the same day!

Does Michigan First contact everyone that applies?

Due to the high volume of applications received, we only contact those applicants that have the necessary skill set and experience for our open positions.

Can I apply for more than one position?

Yes, once your mini-application is created, you may apply and be considered for multiple positions. It is helpful if you attach a cover letter and tell us about all the positions that interest you.

Is financial experience required in order to work at Michigan First?

For many positions, we prefer some previous experience with sales or customer services. There are certain positions that do require specific experience like knowledge of working in a financial institution. What is the dress code at Michigan First?

We ask that you dress formal and professional during the interview process.  The general guideline is professional dress (jackets, sweaters, ties, nice slacks) and we do have casual logo Fridays. The retail branch team members (Financial Service Reps, Tellers, Branch Leaders, etc) that interact regularly with members have specific career apparel that we provide.

Does Michigan First offer opportunities for advancement?

We strive to promote from within the organization. Internal candidates are considered first for all open positions. Team members are encouraged to apply for open positions that match their abilities and career choice.

Does Michigan First offer Internships?

Yes we do. We offer seasonal and regular internships for college and high school students.
